Raymond C. Schupp:Ray President

Ray Schupp is president and founder of Schupp Companies. He is responsible for the daily operations and direction of the company and its portfolio. Under his management, the company has grown from a single townhouse investment to a portfolio representing more than 300,000 square feet of commercial space.

During his 30-year career, he has developed many properties in the metropolitan Washington, DC region, and has managed budgets in excess of millions of dollars. During the 1980s and 1990s, Mr. Schupp worked as a developer of residential properties, in particular in Great Falls, VA and Arlington, VA. Among early commercial projects, he developed the McLean Professional Building and the former Fallfax Lumber site.

Prior to his career as a developer, Mr. Schupp worked as a lead technical analyst with the Office of the Secretary of Defense in Washington, DC. Mr. Schupp holds an MBA from George Washington University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.


Jim Villars: Development Manager
Jim Villars began his career in big box retail construction in 1986 as a project manager for Price Club in San Diego, CA. jimOver the next 14 years with Price Company and Price Enterprises REIT, Jim held various positions, including: VP of Construction for the east coast where he oversaw the construction of 19 new Price Club warehouses and numerous renovation projects; VP of Real Estate for the East coast, evaluating property acquisition opportunities; Director of Real Estate, Mexico, working on land acquisition and development projects throughout Mexico; and VP of Property and Asset Management for Price’s east coast portfolio of shopping centers totaling 2.5 million square feet and a NOI of $27 million.

Villars’ career also includes site planning, store design, and entitlement work for Costco as a principal at MulvannyG2 Architecture, as well as acquisition and entitlement work for Commerce Bank in the Mid-Atlantic region. Most recently, Villars directed the development of a 38,000 square foot shopping center in Clinton, MD, and preliminary design and infrastructure construction for a new 300,000 square foot center in Gypsum, CO for Next Realty Development.

Jim is currently responsible for Development and Construction of the Sycolin Property in Leesburg, VA.
